With the holidays around the corner, we at Standard Management Company understand how difficult things can be when money gets tight. That's why we've partnered with Flex to offer a new way to pay rent that works with your budget.
What is Flex?
Flex is a system that splits your rent into two payments. You pay the first portion upfront when rent is due, and then you can choose a date later in the month to pay the remaining balance. You can also add money to a digital wallet to apply to your next payment.
Do I Have to Use Flex?
No, Flex is an entirely optional service and is not required to pay rent with us. You can choose which months you want to use Flex, and you can pause or cancel your service any time.
Is Flex a Loan?
Unlike a loan, Flex does not charge interest or late fees. You simply pay back your remaining rent balance by the date that you choose. If you miss a payment, you will not be able to use Flex again until your full balance is paid off.
Does Flex Require a Credit Check?
Flex will perform a "soft" credit check which does not count as an inquiry and will not affect your credit score. Based on your eligibility, this will determine the percentage of the full rent cost that you will need to provide upfront.
Can Flex Help Me Build Credit?
Yes! Flex reports only on-time payments to TransUnion, so paying off your Flex balance by your due date every month can help build your credit score.
How Much Does a Flex Subscription Cost?
There is a monthly fee to use Flex, up to $14.99 depending upon your credit line. Other fees such as credit card processing fees may apply. You are only charged on months that you choose to use the service.
How Do I Use Flex to Pay My Rent?
After you sign up for the service, Flex will show up as a payment option in your resident portal, just like you currently pay rent today.
